Senior Capstone Project: Behind the Curtain

A culmination of my theater career at Goshen College in which I directed, devised alongside actors, performed, and designed many aspects all within a little over a month. The devising team consisted of Hermione Bean-Mills, Isabella Ruiz, and myself. Light and sound were designed by Jacob Claassen. This piece was intended to be presented before a neurotypical audience in order to stylistically simulate what a meltdown feels like to an autistic individual. Myself and the other members of the devising team are all autistic, as we felt this would provide the most realistic experience. Watch now at the link below.

A Moment of Clarity by Phillip Middleton William

A virtual play centered around a moment in the Kroger pharmacy between father and son, Clyde (Jeremiah Sherrill) and Dan (Bryce Stopher). This slice of life discusses Clyde’s struggle with his dementia, his memories, and where they are going, while his son Dan deals with “losing” his father. Watch here at the link below.
